FAQs

What is the schedule? You can choose either the Tuesday group meeting between 12:00 pm and 1:15 pm or the Wednesday group meeting between 6:00 pm and 7:15 pm.

When does it start and when will it finish? The Tuesday group will start on 1/12/2021 and finish on 03/02/2021. The Wednesday group will start on 1/13/2021 and finish on 03/03/2021.

What is the deadline to sign up? The deadline to sign up is Saturday, January 9, 2021.

What do I need to join this program? A Zoom capable device with video camera and email access.

Do I have to be on video for the sessions? Yes. Interaction between group members is a core element of this program, so you will need to have your video camera turned on. 

Is recording allowed? My Vita Sana LLC will not record any of the sessions and is kindly asking participants to refrain from recording. Be advised that My Vita Sana LLC has turned off the Zoom recording features for participants in these sessions, but has no ability to monitor and/or prevent recording from other applications or devices.

Will I be asked to disclose personal information during the sessions? You will only need to provide My Vita Sana LLC with your email address and full name and confirm that you are 18 or older. Your contact information will not be shared with anyone outside My Vita Sana LLC at any time. You can choose a nickname to use during the group sessions if you do not want to disclose your full name. You will share only what you want to share with the other members of the group. 

Is the program free? There is no fee to join one of the two groups starting in January 2021. Participation is limited to 15 participants per group. Regular price: $199.

Why is the program free? My Vita Sana LLC believes in the importance of seva or service to others, which we offer in the form of a few cost-free programs every year. 

Will I be asked to buy anything from My Vita Sana LLC during the program? No, absolutely not. Additionally participants who use these meeting as an opportunity to promote products or services will be asked to leave the group.

Will I receive a lot of ads and spam during or after the program? No, absolutely not. We value a spam free world!

What is my time commitment? Each session lasts just over one hour. How much you do between sessions is entirely up to you.

Can I switch between groups depending on my weekly schedule? No. The interaction with the group is very important, so I ask that you remain with the group you start with.

Can I join if the program has already started? No, but I will be glad to keep you on a wait list for our next program.

Can I attend only part of the session? In order to minimize disruptions for other participants, you need to join the meeting at the designated time (so… no late arrivals), but you can leave the meeting at any time if you need do. 

What if I miss a session? It is best to participate every week, but we do understand that life happens. Just email us to let us know.  

What if I discover this program is not for me after I start? No problem, you are free to stop the program at any time. However, when you sign up you take away a spot from someone else. If you have concerns about the benefits of the program, please consider scheduling a call or emailing me to discuss.

Will you give me a personalized meal plan or calorie goal? No, this cannot be provided as part of group program. If you feel that you need more guidance on a specific aspect of your nutritional needs, consider scheduling an assessment with me or a Registered Dietitian/ Nutritionist of your choice.

Will you provide me with a personalized nutrition assessment? No. A personalized assessment is not included in the group sessions. If you are interested in individual coaching, please check our Services for options. 

What is the age limit? You need to be at least 18 years old as of 01/01/2021.

Can I join this program if I want to gain weight, lose weight, manage my diabetes or cholesterol levels? Yes! Although working in a group does not allow to address individual dietary modifications, all the tools provided will benefit anyone wanting to improve their nutrition and lifestyle.

Can I join if I am pregnant? Please contact me by scheduling a call or emailing me.

Is this program suitable for people with an eating disorder? Since this is a discussion group, triggering topics could be brought up. Please consult your therapist to find a more targeted program. If you are in recovery and are looking for support, please consult your therapist to decide whether this is a good option for you at this time of your journey. I welcome inquiries from providers who may want more information prior to recommending this program to their clients.

Do I have to practice yoga to join? No, we will use yoga techniques during our sessions, but these are suitable for all levels of physical fitness. It is the participants’ responsibility to check with their physician if there are any contraindications to physical activity.

Can I repeat the program for free a second time? Yes, as long as there as spots available. Priority is given to first time participants.
